Troop Meetings

Troop 49 meets Tuesdays from 7:00-8:30PM at Faith Lutheran Church, 6600 Woodrow Avenue. Scouts should be in the building, in uniform, with their Patrols for the opening flag ceremony that starts at 7:00 p.m. These meetings are run by the Senior Patrol Leader or Assistant Senior Patrol Leader and attended by the Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmasters. Scouts sit in groups by patrol. Roughly once a month a meeting will be dedicated to a fun activity like dodgeball, capture the flag, music, or games.A typical agenda for a troop meeting:

Opening Flag Ceremony

Activity planning (in patrols)

Scout Skills Demonstration and Practice

Scoutmaster Minute

Closing Flag Ceremony

The Patrol Leader Council (PLC) takes the place of the meeting on the 1st Tuesday of each month. This meeting is for all youth leaders to plan upcoming activities.

The Troop Committee meets on the 1st Wednesday of each month from 7-8pm. Every adult in Troop 49 is on the Troop Committee. Troop Committee meetings review the plans made at PLC and provide support for the scouts. All adults are encouraged to attend the Troop Committee meetings.
